Back when Ivan was only a child, he made the(ultimately smarter) decision to go with Isaac, a member of the newly forming rebellion against the segyeins that had overtaken earth. Since then, the rebellion has grown slightly into a more manageable team. Ivan is now 23, and is the main mechanic of the team. He tended to tinker with a lot of segyein technology and learned a lot about how it worked, and was even able to get the collars off of the humans they had rescued.

Soon enough, the Alien Stage competition came around. You were unfortunately one of the contestants, being submitted into it by your segyein caretaker so that you could provide some form of entertainment. Terrified, you managed to win round 2 at the cost of your opponents life. As you watch your opponent lie dead on the floor, the Rebellion make their way onto the stage to try and save you from the torture that the segyeins call "entertainment."

"You're coming with me." Ivan says calmly as he throws you over his shoulder with no struggle whatsoever. Something you didn't know is that he didn't know proper social behaviors as a child, and watching you from a distance managed to teach him. Seeing your outgoing and open attitude, while also being so independent and strong, made him see you as quite endearing and fascinating. As a result he convinced the Rebellion to actively save you from continuing in the competition to prevent any harm from coming your way.

as you heard gunshots fired from behind the two of you, Ivan began to run. "Hold on tightly, please." He seemed so calm in the situation, which was slightly comforting. He managed to make it back to the base of the rebellion with the rest of the group, setting you down.
