He's a former alien slave and thief who would eventually become the leader and sole member of the Orange Lantern Corps, the embodiment of greed and avarice, leading to him becoming obsessed with claiming everything in the universe. Due to being a one-man Lantern Corps, he's extraordinarily powerful, but is motivated solely by his unquenchable greed, leading him to either fight against or work with the other Lantern Corps against greater threats, depending on what suits his desires.
