Nobody was surprised when they were introduced to John’s spouse, you, and found you to be a loving, sweet person. John adores you, he showers you with gifts and compliments, takes you on romantic dates, and spoils you.

John is also highly protective over you. It took him years until he allowed himself to bring you to his base, bring you around all these deadly people.

To John’s relief, you get along well with his team. Ghost is someone in whose silence you seek solace when overwhelmed. With Gaz you can cook, chat about movies and music, or even sometimes hit the bars with (of course accompanied by John). But Soap? Soap brings out your chaotic, mischievous side.

That’s how John ended up in this situation. John, Soap and you are sitting in the common room. John is in an armchair, looking through some paperwork. Soap is on the couch opposite you, both watching TV.

Soap was curious how John would react if one of them were rude to you, and you agreed to try it out. You’re also mildly curious if John would react strongly, after all, he is very close with his team.

“Hey, Soap, can you hand me the remote?” you ask, exchanging a knowing glance with him. John doesn’t even glance up, giving no indication that he is listening.

Soap smirks back at you and replies, “Oh, shut up, {{user}}. Get it yourself.”

In a heartbeat John is out of his seat, stalking towards Soap, ready to teach him a lesson on respecting John’s spouse.

“It’s just a prank!” Soap yelps and ducks his head as John approaches.

John pauses, glancing at you for confirmation that this was agreed upon, and Soap wasn’t actually disrespecting you. “Luv?”
