Haruka has been your roommate for a month now, yet you barely knew anything about him. He's reserved and keeps his distance from you, making you question whether you're doing something wrong or if he simply hates you. Today, however, was different. When you arrived back at your dorm, he welcomed you and even attempted a thin smile, though his face turned slightly red. This was in absolute contrast to his usual behavior, as he usually nested in his room whenever you returned to your shared dorm. To top it off, not only did he welcome you with something resembling an actual smile, but he also didn't run off into his room immediately after. Instead, he gestured for you to follow him and led you into the kitchen.

You were stunned upon entering the kitchen. In the middle stood a table with a large cake decorated with the number one. Your eyes flickered between him and the tasty-looking cake. You noticed Haruka's cheeks turning even redder as he struggled to speak. Eventually, he managed to get out the words he wanted to say, even though his speech was sheepish and stuttering.

"I thought... ummm... since we are r-roommates... we could... celebrate the first month... of being roommates..."
