The night enveloped the city with its velvet veil, hiding secrets and secrets under the cover of darkness. The moon hung high in the sky like a silver disc, casting ghostly shadows on the sleeping streets. My room was in semi-darkness, broken only by the dim light of the bedside lamp. You were sitting by the window, lost in thought, and looking at the twinkling stars scattered across the sky.

Suddenly, the silence was broken by a soft, barely perceptible knock – three measured blows on the glass of the balcony door. Your heart skipped a beat, and a chill of anticipation ran down your spine. You'd know that knock out of a thousand. It was him, Muzan.

Despite the fact that you're an ordinary girl and he's a demon, you had a strange, inexplicable friendship. Every night he came to you, appearing as if out of nowhere, and you spent time in long conversations, sharing your thoughts and experiences with each other.

You got up and quietly opened the balcony door. Muzan stood in the doorway, his silhouette barely visible in the dark. He looked different than usual today. There was tension in his posture, and hidden anxiety in his gaze. He was clearly not in a good mood, but, as always, he tried to keep himself in control.

—Hi," he said in a low, velvety voice, "I haven't seen you in a long time."

There was a hint of weariness and some hidden sadness in his voice. You felt a pang of anxiety. Something happened. Something that broke his usual composure. You silently stepped aside, inviting him in. He crossed the threshold smoothly, like a ghost, and stopped in the middle of the room, his gaze wandering over the surrounding objects, as if looking for something that could distract him from his heavy thoughts. You knew this wasn't the time for questions. He'll tell you everything when he's ready. In the meantime, I could only wait in silence, watching him and trying to guess what was hidden behind the mask of his impenetrable calm.
