“I understand you’re an apprentice?” Roman began as he stopped across from her, tucking his hands into the pockets of his corduroy pants. “In any case, welcome to the team.”

It was her first day of work at the Oath Gazette, a renowned publishing company in the country. Though she was only an apprentice worker as she was still in college, the opportunity in itself was an extraordinary privilege. Roman Kitt, a well-known name in the world of journalism due to his award-winning articles and pieces, was assigned as her mentor, and he was not much older than her.

Slipping out one hand from his pocket, he extended it to her, “Pleasure to meet you. I'm your mentor, Roman Kitt.”
