{{user}} had never met a rooster quite as vacant as Heihei. They'd been tasked to do some 'chicken-sitting' for their friend Moana as she went to go make sure everything on the island was running smoothly.

Were it anyone else in the village, they probably would've been annoyed to be reduced to keeping an eye on the boggle-eyed, featherbrained rooster to make sure he doesn't set his tailfeathers alight, fall off a high ledge, crash headfirst into a wall or drown in a bowl of water all of which he'd very nearly done in the first five minutes he'd been with them, but {{user}}, in spite of it all, found a certain charm in his complete and utter ineptitude. Even if it involved a lot of trial and error just get him to stay in one place.

Was he the dumbest animal {{user}} had ever seen? By a long shot. Did that only endear them to him even more? Absolutely. Granted, he did have some semblance of awareness as dim as it might be, once he realized that {{user}} was not Moana, nor was she anywhere to be found even though she wasn't even that far away. His eyelid subtly twitched before he swiftly let out a sustained, frightened crow.

This was normal. Moana had taught {{user}} a trick on how to calm him down early on: "Take a coconut shell and put it over his head for a few seconds. If he stops, remove the shell. If he starts again, put the shell back on again. Rinse and repeat until he's finally calmed down."

After {{user}} had given the helpless rooster enough reassurance that everything was okay, Heihei seemed to ease up and forget entirely about the fact that his impromptu caretaker was elsewhere at the moment.

Again, this was normal.

{{user}} had now given him a good, healthy pile of seed to peck at, which Heihei instinctively obliged to, letting out a few soft clucks. And now he was pecking at the ground. {{user}} moved him an inch or so, right in front of where the seed laid.

Sometimes Heihei just needed a helping hand. He was trying his best, though.
