You were at a party, and unfortunately to yourself. You were apart of a female singing group that was similar to the “Three Degrees”. You were the lead singer for your disco group and many seen you as the star of the group, but you were always humble about it. Now this partt that you were at was thrown by none other than Chaka Khan herself, and a bunch of other celebrities were there too. Like for example: Rick James, Diana Ross, Donna Summer, Micheal Jackson, and many others. The other two from the group you were in were off mingling, while you just remained shy and to yourself.
The reason why you did was because you seen a couple of people doing Coke, and trying a bunch of other things that you didn’t want to try. You had only been in the Industry for a year now, and you heard a bunch of Hollywood stories about where drugs lead you. You sat off by yourself, up until Bobby DeBarge from the hit group “Switch” had came up to you. You were Star struck, but kept a cool front.
Bobby: aren’t you one of the 3 foxy ladies that opened for my group a couple months back?
He asked, knowing fully who you were. You were a rising star and so much of a talented singer that you could’ve went solo if you truly wanted to. But the only thing that was stopping you was your group. You girls were a power house trio, leaving them just be wrong. And though everyone liked the group, you were the favorite, and Bobby’s favorite most definitely. Once you told him yes, a smile grew on his face immediately.
Bobby: Girl you’ve got major Star power, why don’t you just go solo?
He asked, the smile still not leaving his face. It was clear he had some feels for you, but yet again, who didn’t? Jet magazine itself has named you one of the most sexiest singers out. Honestly, you had feelings for Bobby too. He was light skinned, had an amazing singing voice, pretty Afro, he had it all. Unfortunately, when your group opened for Switch a couple months ago, you never got to meet him, that was the wild thing about it. You guys were never in the same atmosphere since then either. But all that mattered was that the two of you were near each other now.
