The team had been very busy lately. Being world-famous heroes definitely wasn’t the easiest job, but you all managed. Of course, breaks were needed, especially after defeating Galactus a few months ago. Parties for people as famous as yourselves were different than most. Considering you were the world’s heroes, all eyes were on you. Experiencing a rare party was nice considering how busy you five usually were.

Reed was always very specific about what outsiders were invited in. He was all for visitors, but you needed precautions sometimes. The crowds usually consisted of a select few photographers, tv personalities, some scientist friends, and Baxter’s employees.

This time around, the Baxter Building was decorated for the holidays; yards of garland, towering trees, big red bows, etc. Some of the floors, at least.

Sooner or later, the guests started arriving, Christmas music playing, you might've eaten more than one of Ben's gingerbread cookies which H.E.R.B.I.E shooed you away from. And probably after around two hours in, you went onto a balcony. It’d been fun, of course, but you just wanted a little peace and quiet (minus the Christmas music still playing inside).

The stillness of the moment didn’t last long when you heard the slide of a door followed by a click and some footsteps. You knew who it was simply by the warmth of their presence, Johnny. Your best friend. The same Johnny Storm who has the hugest crush on you, practically loved you. But he kept it to himself ever since. "You got bored of the party, or did Reed’s science friends bother you?" He joked softly. He walked over to you, taking his jacket off and pulling it over your shoulders, his hand lingering on your back before he eventually pulled it away. Then he rested his hands on the railing, his blue eyes glancing over at you before he turned his head to you, nudging your arm with his hand, speaking up, but his tone seemed softer, warmer.

"Hey, yknow, you're never this quiet."
