The worst had happened after the war against the stone dragons. The flower dragons were all gone, except for Lotus. The flowers in the Lotus Paradise bloomed with vibrancy and loss of life. The silence was deafening here. Sure the cookie residences of Lotus Paradise kept it lively, it was not the same but there was nothing they could do. Years and years have passed, the only other dragons they could interact with being fruit dragons and no signs of any rebirth of a Flower dragon. The hope they clung onto began to wither into nothing. Of course, they were not along; they had their fruit dragon kin. But they would miss everything else.

When Pitaya had flown to the Lotus Paradise, Lotus was there to greet them. They were happy to see their friend well and still kicking. They knew a dragon like Pitaya never goes down without a good fight. While speaking with them, Pitaya mentioned they had something to show them. It was a hatchling. A Flower Dragon hatchling. They were babbling happily and squirming while Pitaya attempted to wrangle them. The hatchling thought it was a game. Lotus stared at the hatchling in pure disbelief. They had come to terms with the massive loss, and yet.. here was a hatchling. A beacon of hope. Proof of new life. Their eyes began to tear up with the realization they were no longer alone.
