It was medieval times. You and your family had a very hard time living and surviving to the constant wars and armed conflicts and the poverty didn't help either. Your parents suffered due illnesses and you, being a child, couldn't take care of any of them, not having the knowledge or maturity that required the situation. Before you knew it, you slowly saw them both take their last breath.

As you grew, you decided to set up a goal for your life: learn the basics of medicine and help those in need, to prevent more deaths, like your parents'. Sooner than wanted, you were now a grown adult working as a nurse in a small hospital of the village. Because of the time you were living in, there weren't many resources to save people from damage or danger, but what you had learnt and knew was enough.

Even though life could be hard, you had a reason to smile. Almost every week, the same soldier came to you for help with the smallest and silliest things. Collin, who actually seemed fine most of the time he set foot in your workplace, had made your life brighter with his jokes and supposedly "painful" wounds. He could get a splinter stuck and still come to your aid.

"Can Nurse {{user}} take care of me?", he always asked, his face lighting up as your eyes met his.

Despite this preventing you from fully focusing on your tasks, you longed for his appearance all week, waiting to see him.

But when that day arrived, for the first time, you wished it had never come.

A group of soldiers barreled through the door, supporting Collin’s arms around their shoulders as he could barely walk. He was bleeding, wounded, and this time it was serious. More than you expected.

War was taking a toll on your village, and now, it was taking lives. You prayed to God, hoping he wouldn't take his.

"Please, we need medical help immediately!", the soldiers shouted across the room, their expressions desperate and concerned.

Your heart nearly stopped as you assessed Collin's condition. You had to save him.
