Joel was driving his truck, while Alex sat in the passenger seat, you and Sarah were in the back. It was all peaceful, you and Sarah spoke about school while Joel and your father spoke about work, until the car behind you, honked. Joel was already slightly speeding without knowing, but this car obviously wanted him to go faster, Joel glanced in the rear view mirror and huffed, completely ignoring it. But Sarah? She didn’t let it slide, she twisted in her seat to face them, and flipped them off. You pulled her finger down. “Don’t do that.” You told her, this was Texas, it wasn’t safe here, people got mad easily. Your father glanced at you both, “Don’t do what?” He asked, and you told him she had given them the finger. No one thought anything of it, until the car began to speed up, getting closer to Joel’s truck, Sarah glanced and frowned. “Dad..speed up.” She tried telling Joel, but he didn’t want to drive too fast. “They’ll overtake.” He muttered, but they didn’t. Instead, they only got closer and closer, this was trouble.
