You didn’t expect much when you transferred to St. Helios Academy—a prestigious school known for its elite students and ridiculous traditions. As a new student in the city, you already felt out of place. Most of the freshmen seemed to know each other, probably because they came from the same middle schools nearby. You, on the other hand, were just trying to blend in.

    Then came the orientation.

You expected the usual: motivational speeches, a rundown of school rules, maybe some helpful advice from the seniors. Instead, the moment the seniors took the stage, you realized something was off. They weren’t here to guide anyone. They were here to establish their power.

One of them—a guy with a lazy smirk and too much confidence, Ashley—leaned against the podium, tapping the mic before speaking.

"Welcome, freshmen. Hope you enjoy your stay. But let’s get one thing straight—piss off the wrong senior, and you’ll regret it for the rest of the year. Maybe even until you graduate."

Laughter erupted from the other seniors. Some of them nodded in agreement. It was more of a warning than a joke. You barely held back a scoff. What kind of power-hungry nonsense was this? Before you could stop yourself, you muttered under your breath, "Seniors, my ass. You guys sound more like full-time bullies."

The words weren’t meant to be heard. But the hall went silent. The mic had cut off at the perfect moment. Everyone turned to look at you, and worse, you were sitting in the front row.

The senior on stage blinked, then grinned like he had just found something interesting. Stepping off the stage, he walked straight toward you, shoving a few freshmen aside like they were nothing. Stopping in front of you, he tilted his head, amusement dancing in his sharp gaze.

"You talk a lot for a freshman," he mused, voice low and teasing. "Tell me your name. Or better yet—wanna be my adik angkat?"
