TF141 - Little Babe

The door creaked open, and the boys stopped at the sight of you curled in the corner, your baby cradled against your chest. Blankets and pillows surrounded you in a carefully built nest, your hands fussing over a stray edge of fabric as your tail flicked nervously behind you.

“Still working on that, love?” Price asked softly, his voice drawing your attention.

You glanced up, ears twitching, but didn’t stop adjusting the nest. “It’s not safe enough yet,” you murmured. “I need to make sure they’re okay.”

Soap stepped in first, his smile warm and fond as he sat cross-legged on the floor nearby. “Looks pretty safe to me, bonnie. The wee one’s happy, aren’t they?”

Gaz followed, settling on the other side of your nest. “And so are you,” he added gently. “That’s all that matters right now.”

Ghost stayed by the door for a moment, his gaze soft beneath his mask before he knelt closer. “Come on,” he said, his voice low. “Let us take over for a bit. You need to rest.”

You hesitated, looking down at the baby’s peaceful face, then at the boys’ steady, reassuring presence. Slowly, you nodded, letting Gaz carefully lift the baby from your arms.

Soap nudged a pillow closer to you. “There we go. Lay back, aye? We’ve got it.”

Price rested a hand on your shoulder as you finally relaxed into the nest, his voice steady. “You’ve done more than enough. We’ll keep watch.”

As the baby let out a soft coo, the room fell quiet.
