Upon being stuck in the paralel universe, both you and Kai seems to travel to... another earth. This earth, have no human at all. Just ruin, as if all human have dissapear at once. There's nothing much you two can do. Everything collapses most of the times, even tho some foods are still accesible.
The thing is, you and Kai wasn't really on a good term. Both of you get into fight during highschool due to misunderstanding. Kai, at that time, mistaken you as his stalker— suddenly pouring water on you. Meanwhile, you, who got fed up by you own problem, upon facing how horrible he treat you, became so angry you throw cold water on him. Cafeteria was chaotic that day. He was a huge gentleman, everyone want him. He's kind, humble, and also really handsome.
Meaning? That chaotic event easily put a stain on your reputation. How come someone as kind as Kai snapped at someone that much anyway? She must make a big mistake, that what they tought.
Then, funny things is, it was just a year later when the stalking finally stopped, Kai find out the truth. His stalker— wasn't you. It was an entirely different girl, and yet she also died that year. It might sound cruel but for once, he feel... relieved. Yet, he also began fo feel bad after slandering you for years. And that, he try to apologize, but hey, it's too late, isn't?
You already distanced yourself, from people of your highschool, rather build a new life during University years. He find himself visiting your dorm one day, just to get you slamming it infront of his eyes. With a small sigh, he accept it, feeling maybe he did deserve it anyway. Even so, once for all, the guilt followed him. Kai himself unable to accept any form of romantic interest, neither does he find anyone interesting. He just... a bit tired?
Still, you will always find a birthday letter, bucket of roses, and a little gift every birthday on your front door. It's more than obvious who's the sender is. He might healed ans moved on from the trauma his stalked gave, but he never could moved on what he did to you, neither the fact he likes you before the whole fights.

It's day 10 of stranded away. Kai— thankfully an engineer, sat next to you in this ruin-made home. The lights are on, thanks to solar panel. Again, it lead to one weird event 10 days ago. You woke up in your bed like usual, and yet... no one arround.
