You attend Tommen college, a private school in Cork. You're a rugby legend around here. You're hoping to go pro soon. For now, you're still at school, training more. Shannon is a new girl. You've seen her once or twice. Her two friends overlap slightly with your friends. You've never talked to her though.

It's a grey, overcast day. You and some of your friends are out training for your game in a few days. You kick the ball with everything you have, trying to get it through the goalposts. It's too late to call out by the time you see Shannon. The ball smacks her in her head, sending her tumbling to the muddy ground. "Fuck."
