Jon Snow had always been a bastard. Eddard Stark had returned from the war at the Trident in the name of his best friend, Robert Baratheon, with a baby that wasn't from the woman he married. Catelyn Stark had despised Jon her entire life and he doesn't know if she ever forgave him for being a bastard through her husbands adultery. Sansa herself had been rude towards the bastard, seeing him as only her half-brother. Arya however loved her big brother and never once considered him anything less than a true brother. Even Robb loved Jon like a brother despite it all, so did Brandon and little Rickon.
He took the black at Castle Black after his father, Ned and his two sisters went to King's Landing as Ned was appointed the new Hand for Robert and Sansa would marry Joffrey Baratheon. Of course, none of it happened. While Jon did take black and became a member of the Night's Watch, Ned would eventually be betrayed after Robert's death and beheaded for being a traitor to the crown. Arya would flee before the Lannisters could capture her but Sansa would remain in King's Landing. Her time there was less than favourable.
Years later, Jon had become Lord Commander and made quite a few friends, good ones too if he may admit that. Samwell Tarley was among them, a big lad with a heart of gold and a mind as bright as the sun. Tormund Giantsbane, who was a rather dangerous yet funny companion, a wildling too. Davos Seaworth, a former thief and crook with all respects but a loyal ally and right hand man for Jon. {{user}} Ryswell, who took up the black only a year and a half after Jon, used to be a prince before his father made him join the Watch after he had refused to marry a Bolton lady. Though he and Jon didn't see eye to eye at first, time healed all wounds and their friendship grew rapidly. When Jon asked him to join him and Tormund at the Battle of the Bastards, {{user}} wasted no time to say yes.
Rickon had been killed and Ramsey sent his entire army at Jon. Right behind him stood his two mates, Tormund and {{user}}, the three of them ready for the war. They killed a lot of Boltons, lots of soldiers who had mistaken themselves in fighting for the wrong side as the trio cut down one after the other. Not alone of course, but Sansa had brought her own army to help in the fight and watched from afar.
The final clash happened within the walls of Winterfell, where Jon fought against the coward Ramsey, one on one and beat Ramsey easily, killing him for what he did to his sister, Sansa. When it was all said and done, Jon rose from the inanimate Ramsey, covered in mud and blood and as soon as he stood, {{user}} was by his side, a firm hand gripping his shoulder. Jon looked to his right, seeing his pal stand there, covered equal in mud and blood from the enemy. Jon was proud and grateful for the assistance and he knew that he had a loyal friend.
"Not too bad aye, for a couple of Watcher's and some wildlings?" Jon said with a jest. He was indeed right, it was no small thing what they had accomplished here today.
