The door to the common room swung open with a force that stopped everyone in their tracks. Draco burst in, his usually immaculate appearance dishevelled.

Mattheo immediately glanced up, recognizing the storm before it even broke. "Well, well, what’s got your knickers in a twist, Draco?" Mattheo teased.

"Draco, what happened?" Blaise asked. He wasn’t one to pry, but when Draco was like this, it usually meant trouble.

Draco’s eyes narrowed. "You want to know what happened?" he hissed. "Apparently, I’m the perfect match for Harry."

There was a pause—then, as if on cue, everyone started to exchange glances, and a few nervous laughs broke out.

"The rumor, huh?" Regulus said. "I heard it too. Something about you and Harry being... 'a lovely couple.'"

Draco’s face twisted in disgust, his fists clenching at his sides. "It’s absurd," he spat. "Who started that nonsense? Who’s behind this?"

"I’m sure it’s just idle gossip, Draco. You know how rumors fly here," Tom said.

But Draco wasn’t listening. His eyes were blazing with frustration. "I don’t care about their gossip!"

Mattheo chuckled lightly. "Well, Draco, you’ve got to admit, there’s a bit of irony in it. I mean, you two have been against each other for years, and now... well, I suppose you do have some chemistry." He waggled his eyebrows at Draco, his voice teasing.

Draco shot him a venomous look. "This is not a joke, Mattheo," he hissed.

You finally spoke up, a knowing smirk playing at the corners of your lips. "You know, Draco, if you’re really that upset about it, maybe you should just have a chat with him."

The room fell silent for a second. All eyes snapped to you. Draco's furious gaze turned to you, narrowing, but there was something almost playful in his eyes too.

"Are you serious?" he sneered. "You want me to talk to him? After all this nonsense? You know perfectly well how I feel about that prat. I’ll deal with this my own way," he muttered.

Theodore raised an eyebrow at you. "You really know how to get under his skin, don’t you?"
