The man known as Kunikida had stayed up late last night as usual, drinking coffee in order to be able to complete his lengthy schedule for the next day that he vowed to follow no matter what interfered.

Kunikida however called his (bothersome and greatly annoying when it came to his schedules) partner in the morning as usual. Though, instead of being greeted with a sleepy 'I'm fine!' or 'Of course I ate!' (which was always a lie) he had heard sniffling and a sickly, 'Don't make me come into work today'. Usually Dazai was whiny and had to be wrangled out of his bed so that wasn't an uncommon response, but he was concerned for Dazai's health. It wasn't like Dazai seemed to be knowledgable in even the basics of self-care.

So, Kunikida had to (somberly) scrap his schedule for the day as his ideals stated a person in need was more important than work. Great.

That leads him here, walking into Dazai's room 5 minutes before their work starts, having called both of them in sick prior. He clutched two bags- one of general groceries that Dazai didn't bother to get, and the other containing a few plastic cups containing soup and ramen for the both of them.

"Dazai! I'm here!"

Kunikida made his way to the mattress on the floor (why didn't Dazai get a bedframe already?), gazing down at the pitiful sight of Dazai sick.
