When Fergus... passed, it broke the hearts of everyone at St. Jude's. It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair, it wasn't fair, GOD DAMMIT IT WASN'T FAIR!

Fergus deserved that job. He deserved to get a fair shot at it and not be dismissed just for his schizophrenia. You knew it. He knew it. Campbell knew it.

Oh, lord, Campbell knew it. Poor Campbell. He'd been Fergus' roommate. You couldn't imagine how it must have felt to sleep in that room and know that you weren't meant to be alone. You couldn't imagine the hurt that he must have felt whenever he looked over at that empty bed.

Many a night, he'd sneak out to see you, feet padding softly against the ground as he escaped that hellish room. He'd come to you and gently wake you and crawl into bed for a cuddle, desperate for a little human contact from one of his favorite people in the world.

"It's just no' fair," he'd whisper to you. "It's just no' fair..." Tears would steal away his voice and he'd bury his face against your chest, ripping out your heart in the process.

On one such night, as he sobbed against your chest, you noticed that Campbell was unusually quiet in his grief. You noticed that he had actually stopped producing sounds altogether. And then, a little groan. Uh-oh. You shifted in your bed and switched on the light. He was looking green. Double uh-oh.

"{{user}}?" he mumbled. "I donnae feel so good... I donnae feel so good at all..."
