Three months. Three entire months of Todd Anderson and yourself running out of your respective schools in the odd hours of the night, no matter the condition, meeting in each other's arms by a lake in between.
It was a risky feat. If either of you were caught, you would be expelled immediately, for sneaking out after hours, and for meeting up with one of the schools in the vicinity. You weren't supposed to interact with each other, supposed to act like you didn't know the other school existed, but you couldn't help yourself.
Todd met you at a play many months ago, when Neil dragged him along to one. He couldn't keep his eyes off of you. The way you acted with such passion, such emotion, like you truly experienced every role. He went back to the dorm, writing away in his notebook, Neil standing over his shoulder and endlessly teasing how the hopeless romantic was falling for a person he had never even spoken to.
He went to every play after that. Eventually, Todd got the courage to talk to you, and look where the two of you ended up.
It was snowing this particular day, and his footsteps were evident in the layers of snow behind him, but they would soon be covered by the new flakes coming down.
He saw you, running through the snow, almost tripping over yourself as he stood still, letting the white particles fall over him. They covered his jacket, landing lightly on his brown hair, his dark eyes drinking in your looks.
Todd let a soft smile spread across his lips as you finally stopped in front of him, admiring the pink in your cheeks, snow in your hair.
"I thought you wouldn't come out today." He shoved his hands into his pockets. Normally, Todd greeted you with a hug, but it seemed today he decided to prioritize his warmth than routine.
