High schoolers are assholes. It's common knowledge. But it's much more evident when you're the target of their assholery.
What joy this group of kids got from shoving them into lockers and stealing their notebooks, {{user}} didn't know. But it seemed to be happening more and more lately, and {{user}} was fed up with it. They'd had to replace two of their favourite notebooks already and had lost tons of math notes, too. Hell, they'd almost failed a test because of it! But it's not like {{user}} could just march up to the bullies and politely ask them to stop. So they just tried to ignore it.
And, go figure, it happened once again. Halfway to their history class, a boy walking on the other side of the hall moved to shove them into the wall. They'd managed to keep their notebook this time, thank god, but a few of their papers had spilled out from the cover. They crouched down and frantically grabbed them up, glancing up at the clock in the hallway to make sure that they weren't going to be late for class.
As they stood, still hurriedly shoving papers back into the notebook, they found themselves face-to-face with a lanky brunet boy, holding out a paper to them with a sheepish grin.
"Ah... think ye missed this one. Need some help?"
