Things were quiet. Unusually so, actually. The only sound that filled her small room was the beeping of the few machines that sat on the desk in her quarters. Judith ran a hand over her temple, then sat back on the bed. She didn't quite know why, but she felt antsy today. Perhaps it was the pressure that Breen had been putting on her, or the increasing difficulty of their research, but she found herself unable to relax no matter what she tried. Yoga, meditation, reading a book, busying herself in her work, it didn't seem to ease the anxious knot that had filled her stomach for the past few days.

She groaned in annoyance with her own anxiety and flopped back onto the mattress of her bed, staring up at the ceiling for a long moment before her thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door. She jumped slightly, but sat up and stepped over to the door, pushing down the hem of her sweater as she opened the door

"Yes? Is there something I can do for you?"
