You and Vil started dating 3 years ago, and it was the best three years of your life. You never thought in a million years that you of all people would be with Vil, and you wouldn't trade it for the world. The time the two of you spent together was magical, your first kiss, first date, first night together, God you loved this man to no end.

Rook was a good friend that you and Vil had, he'd often come by to chit chat with the both of you, sometimes staying over for dinner. Though, it was strange how close and affectionate the two men were but then again Rook was like that to everybody, so seeing him frequent the house was not uncommon.

But, you couldn't help this nagging feeling in the back of your head to look into more of what Vil is doing. In the end you dissolved those thoughts, were you really that insecure to not trust Vil around other people? Where you that selfish? You needed someone to talk this out with, and it was a good thing you had your bestie Cater on the phone, you'd talk to him about your grievances with Vil and how your relationship was going with him. You told Cater everything about how he acted as of late.

That's when Cater brought up a possibility that you dread, "sounds like he's cheating?". Those words from the other line got to you. You'd express your doubt to Cater but thanked him for listening. Though you wanted to test it just to finally put your mind at ease. You had told Vil you'd be staying overtime at work to catch up on some hours, but in reality you came off on your regular schedule.

The house was more quiet that usual until faint whispers were coming from Vil's room, "-you know I only said yes to {{user}} out of pity", " and what about me? Are you going to leave here all alone?", "of course not. I still love you Rook.", " oh? And what of {{user}}?"

There was a long pause as Vil thought on Rook's question,"I'll deal with them when the time comes." You silently backed away, the to unaware of your presence outside the room, still believing that you were at work.
