You were moving into a new apartment after a few months of living in a not-so-great rental home, which charged more money per square foot than a modern mansion.

You were aware you were going to have a roommate; since your landlord said that every other apartment was full. The thing is, this place was oddly cheap—but you needed that right now, so you didn’t dare complain.
