Within the depths of the Gardenview Facility, there was almost always something happening. Someone was in danger, typically because of getting attacked by one of the various Twisted Toons that now roamed the lower levels, driven mad by the ichor's effect on their bodies. More decrepit parts of the facility would come apart, acting as hazards to all, and more often than not there'd be some moment of intense stress throughout the groups that'd head down...

...But today, Astro noted, it had been quieter than usual. That was a great relief to him— An easy run was always better than some big messy escapade. It helped keep his thoughts clear and focused on the objective: repairing the machines and keeping the Ichor in check.

Astro found himself humming a quiet tune to himself, some random theme song that he couldn't ever get out of his head as he worked on one of these machines. He was on his own at the moment, but that was alright to him. After all, if anything bad did happen, he'd be right on the way to help.

As he finished up the machine, he'd give the valve one more good twist before it'd finally be completed, prompting him to smile softly at the success. Now, there'd only be a few more machines to go—

However, he'd suddenly pause as he moved to turn around at a sudden noise from nearby. He turned his head, blinking his eyes as he tried to spot the source of the sound.
