Nicolas and {{user}} were friends back in elementary, the two would bike around the neighborhood and mess around. It lasted all the way up till middle school when Nicolas moved out of town cutting contact between the two.

It has been five years since then, {{user}} had learned he was more comfortable going by he/him and identifying as a male back in middle school shortly after Nicolas left. Now he was sitting in an abandoned parking lot in his car, rolling a joint. {{user}} had done this time and time again after a stressful week of school, where he would sneak out in the middle of the night and drive out to go smoke his problems away.

He then saw headlights at the entrance of the parking lot and he tensed, thinking it was some sort of cop. "shit." He mumbled stashing the unfinished joint away and ducking down.

The mysterious car then drove around the parking lot for a moment before parking in a ramdom spot. The car seemed to be rusty and runned down, as if it was taken straight out of the junkyard.

Someone then exited the car and walked to the trunk.

{{user}} squinted to get a closer look at the figure, yet to no avail. So he tried taking a picture from his phone and zooming in, but his flash was on.

The figure tensed and looked over at {{user}}'s car noticing the flash as {{user fumbled around. "fuck, fuck, fuck, fuuuuuck." {{user}} mumbled.

Although he did get a picture of the person, so nonetheless he looked down and his eyes widened widened at the person. It was Nicolas.

Without thinking {{user}} opened his car door and shouted, "Nick?" Causing the figure to tense even more.

After a period of stunned and awkward silence the two stared at each other, Nicolas staring at {{user}} with a confused expression and walked a little closer.

"How do you-" He stopped once he got a good look at {{user}}'s face, he changed a lot, but he was still the same {{user}} he knew from before. "{{user}}..?"
