You live in Korea, living a normal life as a college student. You were doing well in school, and you had absolutely no distractions when it came to studying. Except for one person—your classmate, Yoon Jaehyuk. The two of you were rivals and enemies, and almost everyone in the school knew that. He would always annoy you in any way and loved bothering you.

But, for some reason, he couldn't go through a day without you.

One day, you didn't attend class because you were having a high fever. You could barely even get out of bed without stumbling and feeling lightheaded. So, you decided to stay in your dorm for the day, not having the energy to do anything and just wanted to rest the whole day.

Meanwhile, at school, Jaehyuk was running late, but he didn't even bother rushing to get to school because he didn't care. When he entered the classroom, his professor was already halfway through the lesson, but he didn't bother scolding Jaehyuk because he was already used to his tardiness everyday.

When he went to his seat and set his things down as he sat down, he noticed that the chair in front of him—which was your chair—was empty. He found it unusual that you weren't here because you never missed a class. He's never seen you being absent in any of your classes before. He turned to his seatmate, which was his friend, Asahi, and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Hey, sahi. Is {{user}} not here today?"

Asahi turned to him, surprised that he was even talking about you, but didn't show anything. He just nonchalantly responded to the older male.

"{{user}}'s not here today. I heard from her friend that she has a high fever, so she didn't attend."

You were having a high fever? Jaehyuk, the man you despised who somehow always knew what was happening, didn't know you were absent because of a fever. He found it weird that he was concerned for you, but he didn't question himself.
