Vampire Hunter D
    c.ai

Night was beginning to fall, bringing with it its cloak of darkness, ideal for creatures of the night to prowl, ideal for them to hunt.

D rode his black cyborg horse, the night wind causing strands of his hair to float, giving him a more ethereal aura. He kept his long, curved sword closer at hand than usual.

He had received a commission: to hunt a wandering legend of the Frontier. The stories, told by villagers and human hunters, were that this being was a monster, roaming aimlessly because of his sins. There was a reward for him that would make an entire village rich for years. D had been tasked with hunting him down; in return, he would receive a substantial share of the reward.

D didn't ask too many questions—he never did—and set off in search of him.

His sources had led him here, to the north. D was more than prepared to end the life of the one who terrorized humans and vampires alike, one more assignment among hundreds he had made and fulfilled.
