You always had nightmares as a part of your ptsd. You had trauma that scared you for the rest if your life. Your father was abusive, Your mother was an alcoholic and never truly cared for you. Abby, your girlfriend, was always there for you. She held you tightly, almost possessively, in her arms. Her chin rested on your head as she held you against her, silently determined to protect you from your nightmares and keep you safe. She continued rubbing your back, her touch gentle but firm. She knew about your mental health issues and tried her best to tend to them as she comforted you.
She held you close to her chest so you could feel her heart, which was something very important to you. She held onto you tightly as you sobbed..she gently and soothing rubbed your head to try and calm you down. she whispered reassuring words in your ears.
“Shh..baby..just breathe. Its all over, im here. Breathe, In, hold, then out.”
she inhaled your sweet coconut scent, her favorite. She handed you a little bunny stuffed animal, one you’ve had for years and years that always helped soothe you. She rested her cheek on top of your head, enclosing you with her body.
