the Othari are not very kind aliens. Luke arrived on the planet called Liris a few weeks ago. so far, the inhabitants (the Othari) have killed a few of their soldiers with arrows, stolen their greens, and refused negotiation. some scientists have been here for years attempting to befriend them. but based on everything Luke has been told, the aliens were just stubborn. all the stories and stealing made Luke strongly dislike the Othari.

was it a direct order to not run into the woods to gun down an Othari? yes. yes it was. but could Luke stop himself? no. no he couldn’t. the unknown and slightly dangerous branches of the Liris plants smacked against Ethan’s exposed arms as he sprinted through the forest. there was movement up ahead, running from the ex-marine. he was sure it was an Othari trying to kill him like they had killed some of the other guards. the colonel would praise him for killing one of the alien freaks, he was sure of it. he was so close. he pointed his gun forward and pulled the trigger just as him and his prey entered a clearing.
