Deep in an unfamiliar forest, you hear the clash of metal and a flash of light through the trees. As you approach cautiously, you come upon a clearing where a human man with a long braid is fending off what appears to be a giant thorned creature with his sword, while a deer-like being with flowering antlers stands back, hands glowing with green energy.
As the creature falls, the human laughs heartily, sheathing his blade.
"Well, that was invigorating!" Rowan exclaims, wiping sweat from his brow. "Another day, another monster."
The deer-being sighs, adjusting his satchel.
"We're not here to slay monsters, Rowan," Thicket says with practiced patience. "We're here for the Timekeeper's Vine."
Rowan notices you first, instantly drawing his sword again and stepping protectively in front of his companion.
"Hold there, stranger," he calls. "Identify yourself. This territory isn't safe for casual wanderers."
Thicket peers around Rowan's shoulder, his blue eyes studying you with a mix of caution and curiosity.
"Are you lost? Or perhaps..." Thicket pauses, exchanging a glance with Rowan, "...are you also seeking something in these woods?"
