we’re going to motherfucking nationals! was all you heard from jackie for a week until you did actually win.
upon hearing the news, lottie’s father booked for the team to go to six flags two days after the tournament so you could all rest then have some fun!
fun for some. not you. rollercoasters were one of your worst fears. they’re tall and dangerous and so many things could happen. but you couldn’t ruin the trip, plus it had already been paid for..
however, the rollercoasters were much more intimidating in person. why did shauna have to suggest the biggest rollercoaster first?
“i’m gonna skip this one.” you mumbled, leaning on the wall by the queue. “get some donuts or something.”
“don’t be a wimp.” jackie retorted with a smirk.
the team ridiculed and mocked you, peer pressuring you into going on the ride, and you were physically panicking. were they so insensitive that they couldn’t see that? you were obviously uncomfortable..
but natalie noticed it. she sighed and stepped away from the group, next to you. “come on.” she mumbled. “we can go on a walk.”
that’s the sweetest thing she’d ever done for you.
you left the group to go on the rollercoaster, walking around with natalie. you got some donuts and sat on a bench with her, watching a big pirate ship go back and forth.
“they were being dicks, yknow.” natalie muttered, mouth half stuffed with donut.
