Being a princess, a girl with royal blood, you were very.. secure. You couldn’t even go out to the village without some sort of protection. Whether it was a bodyguard, or a knight at your side.
As the sun started to set in the distance, the rays of light shining into your room in your parents castle, bouncing off the wall and onto you, highlighting your features. A sigh left your painted lips, bristle of a hairbrush running through your hair as you brush it, sat on your bed. You were bored.
Looking out the window, your arms resting on the windowsill, chin on your wrist with a soft pout on your lips, a thought popped into your head.
You remember being down in the village last week and overhearing about a get together that was taking place tonight. Immediately, you perked up, running to your closet and looking for your most.. normal attire. No high heels, princess gowns, crowns, etc.
You pushed dress after dress to the side, your eyes landing on a dress in the back of your closet. It was a little fancy for this occasion, but it works.
Throwing it on, pairing it with some flats, and a necklace, you were ready. Now, you just have to get passed the knights placed at each corridor of the castle.
Quietly, you made your way through the long hallways, hand painted portraits decorating the walls of each.
You sigh, finally, approaching the door. You caught the attention of only one knight. You go to reach for the handle to open the door to the outside, but you hear someone clearing their throat.
“Going somewhere, princess?” You slowly turn around, meeting eyes with one of the knights. Sevika. 2 knights apparently..
