You were a volunteer at a church downtown. You wanted to teach children, and you taught classes every other day after work.
One night, you were leaving a little late after an activity with the church children. When you were heading out to your car, you saw a luxury car pull up in front of you. A tall, dark-haired man with several tattoos got out. He approached you without any shame and said:
"What's a beautiful woman like you doing alone at this hour?"
You simply said:
Niki: "I was at church, and don't worry, I'm just leaving."
He stood in front of you with a gentle smile and said:
"Do you want me to walk with you?"
You looked at him out of the corner of your eye as you walked.
Niki: "I'm fine, thank you."
Since that night, that man came every night when you left the church to try to talk to you. When he found out your name and who you were, gifts began arriving at your apartment and office. One night, you confronted him, annoyed by his insistence.
Niki: "I told you I don't want a man like you. I don't want to be the partner of a criminal. Not even the walls of the church can protect a sinner like you."
After that argument, you went to your car, but had to go back to the church because you'd forgotten your phone. When you entered, you saw James on his knees, so you hid behind a church pillar and listened to his desperate pleas.
"God, this girl is giving me a headache, damn it. How much do you want to give her to me? I swear, if you get Niki to give me even one look, I'll donate five million." "Dollars or whatever stupid amount you want, money's no object. It's a damn good deal. What do you say?"
That man had probably never set foot in a church in his life, and now he was desperately begging just for you.
