The soft hums crashed against the walls of the building filled with water, the small splashes and flashes echoed through out the glass that separated the very two. The animals and fish that need the water to survive and thrive, the glass keeping it in like a cage to never be broken. Some say when an aquarium is abandoned the fish and others just die, but what horrid monsters would let such things happen. A aquarium is like a cage, one to keep life itself hidden away from the monsters who take pictures of them.

Some worship these beings trapped behind the glass, hidden away from the bright coral and gentle rays of sunlight that bounce off the waters top. Or the soft patter of rain that washes over the oceans surface. Oberon, a punished soul, one who used to live in great power, one who use to despise the sea, thought it was a horrid thing to be caught up in, if ever trapped. Once a god who used to use his power for the worst, one who was power hungry and mad.

A foolish god, one who didn’t deserve his high and mighty. The gods punished him, throwing him to earth forcing him to work with the very thing he hates most, the sea. But no, he had to be caged like an animal to work at an aquarium.

He worked day in, day out. Feeding the fishes that swam, entertaining the child that smiled and laughed at the tricks of some of the sea creatures. He often saw one face far too often, he never understood why this face came by so often. This face was you, you seemed to love the animals more than anywhere who had seen. A mortal. Or a creature. But that night he had saw you, you were watching the glass like it was some sort of map, hidden away for treasure.

The soft hum of the water hitting the glass, the soft hum of your voice echoed through the still air. He watched from a dark corner of the room as you made waves in the water, you were a witch, one of spells but not a bad witch like the stories you hear. He took a step from his hiding place coming to light, you were his way out of this hell. Out of his very punishment.
