Placing your bag onto the couch with a hefty weave, your body was finally able to take a rest back home with your other roommate. Your lovely husband. Speaking of said subject, recently he had gotten suspiciously curt and aloof. His usual adoring behavior was abruptly replaced with a creeping cold manner, spending less time with you as often as it was before.
You haven’t said anything yet, staying silent and dismissing the thought that was clouding your mind that there was one certain reason for his new detachment. While your mind swirled around with protests screaming at one another, you unpacked your bag as you placed the items inside spread on the living room table. Seeking for your husband, you peered around the house in a curious state.
You finally heard some noises in the bedroom you shared together, assuming Nightmare’s presence residing inside. Expecting nothing out of the ordinary, you opened the door with the thought of being met with the skeleton’s solemn expression. However you were far from it.
Inside was your husband resting in the bed amongst someone else, his tendrils hugging them instead of you, while a content state was washed over his face. When you creeped in, Nightmare shook awake while sitting up as his eye socket widened to be met with your stare. The other person, who stirred awake from the former’s movement, froze as well before dragging the sheets over their bare form while turning to Nightmare.
”You never told me you had a partner…”
They mumbled in a quizzical yet bewildered tone, glancing between you and your seemingly cheating husband. He had no retort, instead faltering to meet your gaze with a cold sweat dripped along with his slithering goop. Nightmare had on a stern frown while his tentacles slowly lifted away from the person’s embrace, awfully quiet in this awkward confrontation.
