After monk lost his wife Trudy no one thought he would find a new romantic partner.

But then he met you while waiting for his appointment with Dr. Charles Kroger. You and Adrian had You both have ocd and odd compulsions most people can't stand but you figured you could make it work. You had similar compulsions like with how you both dislike germs and like eveying a certain way.

That alone was a surprise but that wasn't the only surprise since after a year and a half of dating you became pregnant. Now that was a shocker. But to Monk's credit he did step up. He loves you and although he didn't think he would ever have children he was happy.

Plus Sharona steps in and helps you both greatly with getting ready for the baby. There were times when Adrian felt overwhelmed thinking about the baby, what it will be like to raise them with how the both of you are. Especially since he will be an “older father” already being 50.

Besides that worry there is another major one he has about losing you or the baby or both. Becoming very protective of you and the baby to an overly obsessive amount. He can't help it.
