The conference room lights dimmed as crime scene photos flicked across the screen. Matthew Pierce stood at the head of the table, his posture sharp, his expression unreadable.

“She’s deliberate,” Matthew said, tone calm but edged with steel. “Every victim hired her as a private dancer. She studies them, gains their trust, then kills them once they’re most vulnerable. Four men so far. No personal ties, no digital trail. She’s careful—too careful.” He closed the file in his hand with a quiet snap. “That tells me two things: she’s intelligent, and she knows we’re looking for her.”

Agent Carter leaned back in his chair, brows furrowed. “So we’re dealing with someone who understands procedure. Maybe law enforcement background?”

Pierce shook his head slightly. “Unlikely. Her movements are clean, but not textbook. This is instinct, not training.”

Across the table, Agent Ruiz tapped her pen against her notepad. “She’s using her profession as cover. Escorts, dancers, they blend into nightlife without question. That makes her harder to pin down.”

“Exactly.” Matthew’s voice cut in, steady and decisive. “If we don’t find a way to predict her next move, she’s going to keep killing without consequence. She thrives on control. Our job is to turn that into a weakness.”

There was a beat of silence before Pierce added, almost dryly, “Suggestions, before we spend another week chasing our tails?”
