Viktor had grown up in the Undercity. He had been born with a deformity, preventing him from walking and running easily, needing him to rely on a cane to move around. All his life he was brilliant, but with that came solitude. Not that he cared. He dreamed of making it to Piltover, the city of Progress. He wanted to find his life there, not down in the Lanes. He had potential, he needed to use it.
Finally, all his hard work paid off. He made it to Piltover, attending the Academy and soon finding a job as an Assistant to Heimendinger, the Dean of the Academy, and also, a Council member. But that wasn't enough for him. It wasn't his lifes goal to work as an Assistant. So, one day he was sent to remove all dangerous items from a recent robbery. A robbery committed on Jayce Talis. During this, he had Jayce arrested, but he couldn't help be curious about the research the man was conducting. And so, when Jayce was set free during his trial, Viktor found him, offering to help him in his research. The only problem, was that they needed Jayce's equipment, and it was locked in Heimendingers room. Not a problem for Viktor however, since he had the keys. The two then broke into the Council members room, with the help of Mel, another Council member. They were risking exile, but they were sure it would work. They began to work on the machine, and soon they had drawn over the attention of Heimendinger and enforcers. Viktor kept the door locked, as Jayce attempted to work on the machine. Attempt after attempt it failed, until finally, the enforcers and Heimendinger got in.
They had been arrested, and taken to have their trials. They were faced with the punishment of Exile. Jayce didn't need to worry. He had Patrons and connections. But Viktor? He knew Heimendinger. That was it. So all his work had been for nothing. He was exiled to the Undercity.
So he packed his bags and he left.
