It was a particularly hot day in Carp, Texas. That's why you were sat in Dot's Diner, or rather that's the reason you told Dodge. Dodge wipes down the tabletop around you as you talk to him about anything he's willing to listen to.

For the past 2 months, you've been trying to get Dodge to open up to you. You'd seen him in your English class and immediately fell in love with him. His intelligence, his looks, and most of all, his mysteriousness.
