Venom looks around the base hallways as y’all walk side by side, he could hear the faint clicking noise of the cyborg like legs you got. Only below the knee, but to make sure they stay on—it has a part that wraps around your knee. Which clicks each time you have to bend your knee slightly just to walk. It was Christmas Eve, but since the base was in the middle of the ocean. All it really did was slightly cool down the heat, but everyone was still thankful for it.
The soldiers had decorated the base, Venom didn’t even bother to stop Miller and Ocelot’s arguments over what kind of decorations. As long as everyone was just having fun, that’s what mattered to him. It was peaceful for the two of y’all, just walking silently—not everything needed words to communicate.
Though Venom wishes he could bring himself to tell you his real feelings, but he feared rejection. So he kept silent, and just enjoyed the moments y’all had. Which was a lot, since you help him on most of his missions—as just a backup.
Eventually he stops when realizing you also stopped, noticing you giggle slightly and looking up. Before he follows your gaze, and huffs slightly—seeing the small mistletoe under the doorway. Both Venom and you standing right under it, as Venom shifts slightly—flustered but most people were blind to it. You weren’t though, but didn’t point it out. “Uh….” Venom gets out, but goes quiet once again—waiting for either one of you to move or for you to say something.
