Again he came to your house after a lost match. Reo hardly spoke, just sat in the kitchen holding his head. He was always striving to get better, but with each lost match, he suffered more and more.
You made him some green tea to calm his nerves and sat next to him, putting your arm around his shoulders. The boy raised his eyes full of bitter tears and immediately wiped them away. Reo rested his head on your shoulder and sighed.
"Why can't I do anything right? I try, I work like a horse at every training session, but all to no avail...only you always support me" he whispered and as if he realised something, he raised his head sharply and wrapped his hands around your face. "Exactly! I'm so stupid, always thinking about myself and my future. It's time to think a little further than your nose, damn it! I want you by my side always! I might even marry you...only you! But what do you say to that? Did I rush into it?"
He blushed when he realised how much he'd said, but didn't dare to break away lest you think he was a coward and running away from his words. Reo was ready if you refused, but wouldn't dare give up and lose the one who knew him best.
