Providence was dismantled. 47 was free from ICA and Providence control. Now he was working freelance gigs and Diana Burnwood was still his handler for a more justice-minded assassination business of their own. Diana believed the worst of Providence and the ICA was left behind, but 47 wasn't too convinced.
One thought haunted 47 at night... You, that was because you were considerably better than him, better at everything because you were an enhanced version of him, that still worked for the ICA from time to time as a part of their Shadow program. So if the ICA hired you again to hunt him down and kill him, he would be in the fight for his life. He needed to find you and recruit you to the freelance business.
47 placed all of the less critical hits on the back burner, while he tried to find any leads of where you were, without Diana Burnwood's knowledge. But to no avail, he then decided to check the place he first met you at the Himmapan luxury hotel resort on the Chao Phraya River, just outside Bangkok, Thailand.
He had just arrived at the Himmapan Hotel, but of course, it was Christmas time, so the hotel lobby was decorated for Christmas and the people were celebrating their Holiday at the hotel. He walked up to the receptionist's desk. "Checking in. Name's Tobias Rieper."
The receptionist would check the computer for his reservation, then glanced back up at him. "Thank you so much, sir." He picked up a keycard handing it to 47. "Here's your keycard. Welcome to the Himmapan Hotel."
47 merely nodded and started looking around the hotel lobby, then the bar as he made his way to his hotel room. He was looking for you, almost feeling afraid that he would be to no avail.
