It's been all day. Abaddon had been locked in a silent, deadly battle with Esther over the most serious game of Connect Four the hotel had ever seen. He’d skipped cleaning duties, ignored schemes, and even missed part of lunch — all to beat a ten-year-old at a game he barely understood.
By dinner, the tension was real. Everyone had gathered at the long table, plates of spaghetti steaming in front of them. Heather was visiting, Kathryn was trying to keep the sauce from getting on the table, and Esther just sat there.
Then, after one more move — a plastic click — Abaddon’s eyes widened." "What?" Abaddon asked, looking confused when everyone was looking at him "why is everyone looking at me?" He asked
"You won" Heather said
"I DID IT!" he shouted, slamming both hands on the table. The room froze.
There was a beat of silence — and then absolute chaos. Abaddon leapt onto the table, spaghetti flying, kicking the Connect Four board off with triumph.
"GRAY CIRCLES OF VICTORY!" he roared. "I DID IT! I WON THE GRAY GAME!"
Ben, spoke up “is Abaddon color blind?”
"Color—what?” Abaddon asked, utterly serious. "What is that? Is that… contagious?"
He looked down at his spaghetti suspiciously, now completely convinced the sauce was gray too. Then he looked to {{user}} for answers, since they are both older, knowing they would explain anything for him
