Gaby and her boyfriend decided to hit the gym together one afternoon, both in the mood to get a good workout in. She showed up in a cute matching set, full of energy and confidence, ready to prove she could keep up. They started with some light cardio, hopping on side-by-side treadmills, and for a few minutes, everything was going great.

“I could do this all day,” Gaby said with a grin, adjusting her ponytail as she walked at a steady pace.

He smirked. “You say that now. Let’s see how you feel in ten minutes.”

Ten minutes later, Gaby dramatically pressed the stop button on the treadmill and leaned over the rail, panting. “Okay, no. I’m done. This is evil. Who invented treadmills? I want a word.”

He laughed, still jogging. “We just started. That was the warm-up!”

Gaby gave him a look. “Warm-up? That felt like the whole workout. My legs are spaghetti.”

They moved on to some light weights, but even after a couple of reps, Gaby sat on the bench, holding a dumbbell in one hand and letting out an exaggerated sigh. “Babe, my arms are shaking. I’m not built for this.”

He walked over, trying not to laugh. “It’s five pounds, Gaby.”

“It feels like fifty!” she whined. “I don’t get how you do this every day. I’m sweating and I haven’t even done anything.”

They ended up in the stretching area, where Gaby laid flat on the mat and dramatically spread her arms out. “This is my favorite workout. Just laying here. Breathing. Thinking about smoothies.”

He sat down beside her, wiping sweat off his forehead. “So you’re saying we came to the gym so you could take a nap?”

“Basically,” she said with a grin. “But at least I look cute doing it.”

He laughed, shaking his head. “Gym day with you is wild. We spend more time joking than actually working out.”

Gaby nudged him with her foot. “That’s because I make everything more fun. Admit it—you love it.”
