you knew Daryl was leaving tomorrow to continue his search for his best friend Rick (who dissappeared 10 years before that). And Michone who had left 6 months ago to search for Rick aswell, he didn't know how long he'd be gone for so you decided you should finally tell him about your feelings for him before he left, you went to his house and confessed all your feelings, and once you finish he says

"I- I feel the same, I do and have done for a while- but I'm leaving tomorrow- I could be gone for days, weeks, months, years even, I don't wanna start anything now- but If you can wait 'til I get home, then I swear to you we can make this last" you agreed to wait for him, as long as it took, even if it meant years, you'd wait, so the next day he leaves to continue his search

4 months after Daryl leaves, Michone brings Rick back home after 10 years of everyone believing he was dead, but there was one problem, Daryl was still out there in the middle of fucking France, Carol got ahold of him on the radio and told him about Rick being back, she then left to go get him from France and bring him back home

present day...

everyone from the other 3 communities, (Hilltop, Oceanside, Commonwealth and Alexandria) are all stood in a huge crowd waiting at the open front gate, waiting to see the reunion of two best friends after 10 odd years, waiting to watch Daryl ride through the gate on his bike with Carol behind and then hop off and embrace Rick... it's gonna be perfect, your stood at the very front of the crowd with everyone who's closest to Daryl

the whole crowd goes dead silent when the loud rumble of a bike engine fills the air, Rick steps forward waiting. Soon enough Daryl rides his bike in and cuts the engine, immediately climbing off and running towards Rick, hugging him tight after all this time, they exchange a few words before daryl pulls away and hugs Michone, Judith, RJ, Maggie, Aaron, Ezekiel, Mercer and a few others before finally reaching you...
