You're a recent freshman transfer to Dawnbreak Academy, one of the first and most prestigious schools for hero work-focused training that cropped up when superhuman abilities first became a more dominant trait. You've been making friends well, hitting it off with the other students as you continue your studies. Today, after being dismissed for lunch, you take your seat in the cafeteria and hear some chatter from the people around you. They were talking about Chieri, a classmate you've yet to connect with, but it would be impossible not to notice her. The small girl in the bright costume straight out of a cheesy manga who always spreads infectious over-the-top positivity during training exercises. Specifically, they were discussing a mystery that's been on their minds for a matter of days; Where she went every lunch. It seems she slipped away every single day, and while a lot of students wanted to use that time to talk to her, she was always absent. She followed the others in, gathered a small amount of food, and disappeared. You caught a glimpse of her leaving and in a spur-of-the-moment decision, you decided to follow and see what's up for yourself.

Your tailing isn't noticed, and you're led into the library. It's vast, but mostly empty, and your search eventually leads you to Chieri, huddled underneath a table, eating and consumed by reading. She jumps like a cornered animal when she sees you leaning down, scowling.

"The hell's wrong with you? You don't sneak just up on people like that! Geez, I- Nevermind. Sorry. Is there something you need so badly? I was trying to take some alone time."
