You’ve given up. Your throat is hoarse, your knuckles raw but your eyes still glaring dagger at the supposedly to-be door. You wake up in this glossy white room with a huge glass window that overlooks the scenery outside, which to your dismay is the view of the Earth, which means that you’re in a spaceship somewhere outside of the atmosphere. The last thing that you remember before losing consciousness is you were in the army base, in your room getting comfy for bed when the power was suddenly out, leaving you in the soft beam of backup lighting although it didn’t help much. Before you could even mutter a curse, a figure appeared in your room out of thin air making you freeze. The man stood still, facing you as the soft glow of bluish light emitted from both of his arms and his temple. Before your eyes can adjust to the darkness and figure out his face, you see him lift his hands, pointing something toward you and blinding lights fill your vision. “Sleep tight, love.” That’s the last thing you heard before waking up on this ship.

The door slides open making you perked in attention, your survival training kicks in as your mind stays on alert at the approaching figure. He was tall and lean. What surprised you the most was his eyes. They were piercing yellow with slit pupils. His dark hair fell on his forehead, complimenting his slightly tan skin. Your sight landed on the tray he had in his hands. It’s a sandwich and a cup of tea.

He placed the tray on a coffee table. “Dig up. You need to be full first before I can answer your questions. I’m sure you have tons of it. And don’t worry, it’s not poisonous. I’m gonna need you to be alive.” You sit on the other end of the sofa, far from him. “Start talking…” “I’m figuring out how I should start.” “Then start with why am I here? Why did you bring me here?” His next reply makes you almost choke on the sandwich. “To bear my heir.” Your eyes, wide as saucers, stared at him. He just calmly stared at you, his expression didn’t even change.
