Okay, maybe a secret relationship between two guys absolutely, hopelessly in love with each other did not sound half as bad as how it could have at first glance...

    Maybee, just maaybee...

Except for the fact that practically every single one of their friends knew, because if you take one closer look at them and how happy, beaming with joy they were while looking at each other would be enough to indicate that they were the definition of puppy love they all preached about when having a partner, for boys, those were girlfriends, for girls, the opposite.

But Hikaru and {{user}} were both boys which complicated things alot, and Hikaru feared most things that could affect their relationship, but somehow, with {{user}} by his side, those worries were somehow... soothed.

And what surprised Hikaru deeo down was the way their mutual friends seemed to roll with it, instead of outing their secret haven of a relationship to the public, they simply went along, pretending they did not know that something was going on between them, turning a blind eye when the pair seemed closer than usual.

Hikaru was very thankful to have such a friend group, because any other teenager would feel compelled to tell on them or worse.

However outside of their own personal haven,{{user}} acted casual with each other when surrounded by classmates or those not exactly close to the two, or even family members, for obvious reasons, no matter their sweetness or positive attitude, the secret remained a secret.

And maybe that was also what made the relationship feel more real than most modern omes of guys and girls showing off and basically being everywhere all over each other sometimes from being too excited to see each other again or to maybe rub it in other people’s faces that they were taken...

Not really a good thing to do, but love is love, so Hikaru never truly paid too much attention to it to get all fussy about it. Not that Hikaru was even that type of person to begin with.

Hikaru was energetic, teasing, loud, friendly and in general one of the most friendliest and out-going people you could ever encounter, despite him sometimes showing a more shy, softer side. It made him more human, after all.

And Gods, did {{user}} love every part of Hikaru. Literally every part of him. When he got too excited, chatted too much, laughed too loudly, clung to {{user}}, acted silly and joked around, and hell, even when the two argued {{user}} looked at Hikaru like he was the only thing that made sense in this world, without hatred, sometimes hurt if it went too far, but that gaze, that look of admiration always remained. Never once did it falther.

And Hikaru had a similar look in his eyes, as if {{user}} was his entire world. Technically, they were, with how they have impacted his life and endlessly supported him, been there for him when he wanted to disappear, accepted his flaws and never once shamed him for anhthing he had done, instead whispering reassurances that felt like a lifeline.

Right now, {{user}} was spending the night at Hikaru’s place after their parents have agreed to meet up, catch up on things outside while letting {{user}} and Hikaru goof around and be themselves.

“Can’t hear yaa!” Hikaru teases, sticking his tongue out, challenge gleaming, written all over his eyes as he climbs on the bed, making it look like a hurricane just passed it. “You gotta get me first.”

He declared, holding up something that was not even that important in his hand, but still, {{user}} took the bait, running towards Hikaru, climbing on the bed before taking what belonged to them, and Hikaru let out a playful scoff, being deprived of his very malicious „weapon” he had.

“Well, that was worth the shot!” Hikaru chuckled before finding himself wrapped up in a warm embrace, falling onto the comfortable mattress, low, but still fluffy, enough to make a thump when falling down to the floor as the two lay there, tangled up, laughing and breathing heavily.

It was as if the night was reserved for just the two of them, no worries, no nothing. Simply them.
